Our development process is the backbone for creating games that push the limits of technology. There are three core elements to our process: modular components, solid game engine libraries, and powerful tools to simplify development and asset management.

Modular Components
Using a modular design approach allows game components to be easily added or removed from projects, allowing for greater flexibility of use and scalability to target platforms. Modular functionality allows for greater customizability and reduces overhead compared to an object-inheritance approach.

Vermillion Game Engine
Each game we develop is built on top of our in-house game engine, which provides a stable foundation of core libraries. Due to the modular

design, it can be easily used for a variety of different types of games, and scaled to different platforms. By providing the low-level building blocks the engine allows us to focus more attention on the gameplay, balancing game difficulty and player rewards, and making the games fun to play. After each project the game engine is refined and improved, allowing us to build more complicated and stunning games without increasing development times.

Tools
Our suite of tools provide functionality such as art creation, resource optimization, level design, UI design, game scripting, and asset management. Each tool provides designers with a greater capacity to create assets quickly and efficiently, as well as to test them in the game environment without the need of a developer. The tool suite produces optimized resources and reduces the complexity of the asset pipeline.
